A lot of that is beginning to change now with the advent of home theater and gaming projectors that not only are extremely portable, but also offer screen sizes from a couple of feet across all way up to 300 inches along with 3D capabilities. When you buy a 3D projector your television and video gaming enters a whole new world where the screen size is determined by how big a wall you have and the location limited to where you have a wall electrical outlet.

For all intents and purposes home theater projectors in the present form have been around for about a decade and as more people learn about them their popularity is increasing. When people buy a 3D projector the first thing that strikes them is how much the word theater truly applies especially when your screen can be up to 25 feet across.

When you are looking to buy a 3D projector it is important to note that these units are generally 3D ready which means they will need a source to generate the 3D signals, such as a 3D Blu Ray player, tuner box or a video game console. Once you have one of these items it’s simply a matter of grabbing the 3D content from a 3D DVD, Netflix or your cable provider.

We have more great news for those of you that wish to buy a 3D projector and that is just about every movie that is being made these days is being filmed in 3D, so lack of content is not going to be an issue. Even the video game manufacturers are getting into the act by turning out some really high end 3D video games.

All in all when you buy a 3D projector you’ll be getting a piece of equipment that will give you a great picture and provide you with some of the best entertainment you’ve had in years. The really great news is that the prices on these units have fallen to the point where they’re sometimes they are less than a standard big screen TV.

Or maybe you just want a home theater set up that is simply kick butt awesome. If this is the case then you might want to give some thought to the latest in projection screen technology. The Optoma GT700 Video Game Projector is part of that new technology and it does it at a cost that is close to what you would pay for a good plasma flat screen. The difference is that with a projection unit your limitations on placement and screen size suddenly cease to exist.

The Optoma GT700 Video Game Projector will provide you with one of the most unbelievable viewing experiences possible. Now let’s talk screen size and resolution. The GT700 can produce a 120 inch image at a distance of 6 feet and supports and supports 1080p high definition signals as well. Lighting will also be less of a concern with the GT700 due to its 2,600 lumen output. This makes it capable of performing well in a large room with normal lighting.

Oh and just because I mentioned a 120 inch screen size a while back don’t think that is what you are limited to on the video game projector. No way! If you’re so inclined you can take this baby all the way up to a 300 inch image or all the way down to 34 inches, it’s up to you. This can all be accomplished at a resolution of 1280×800 WXGA or 1600×1200 UXGA and the UXGA is 3D compatible. That’s right I said 3D compatible.

So what are some of the other features offered by the Optoma GT700 Video Game Projector? Take a look.

These projectors are extremely compact with an average size of 4 3/8”x2 3/8”x 1” thk, but don’t let their small size fool you they are packed with power. These power packed little units will set you apart in both your gaming and your presentations.

One of the brightest and most powerful of the Pico projectors on the market for the price is the AAXA P2 Pico Projector. The AAXA P2 Pico Projector has the highest lumen rating of any Pico projector on the market coming in at 33 lumens with an 800×600 output resolution and a 1280×780 VGA direct cable resolution. Also in the AAXA P2 Pico Projector arsenal of features is the fact that in darker conditions it is possible to get a projected image as large as 80 inches. Additional features include 1 GB of onboard memory with the ability to read additional 4 GB micro SD cards. All this adds up to giving you the flexibility to take your gaming or presentations anywhere and at a great price.

Two additional benefits of the AAXA P2 Pico Projector are the LED bulb that is used to produce the spectacular 33 lumens. The bulb is rated at a useful life of 30,000 hours before replacement; this is almost a full 50% longer than other units on the market, this this translates into more than 8 years of use at 10 hours a day. The other benefit is the ability to untether the P2 from your laptop and use it a standalone unit to show slides and videos, this is because of its 35 minute onboard battery.

So you can see that whether it’s you and your friends getting together for an evening of projection screen gaming, having to give a presentation to a client at their home or just watching a movie projected on the nearest wall the AAXA P2 Pico Projector will be more than able to handle the challenge. Oh and if all this isn’t enough the P2 also comes with an IR remote so that you can make changes and adjustments from across the room. The real beauty of the P2 though is its portability and the ability of the P2 to travel as easily in your pocket as well as it does in your brief case.

Ahh yes the AAXA P2 Pico Projector is truly a tiny marvel and will provide you with years of service. Now if you think the P2 is the right projector for you simply click on the link below and a new window will open so that you can get further information or to make a purchase.

Great! Then I have just two words for you GAMING PROJECTOR!

Gaming projectors are starting to take the market by storm. A number of different types of game projectors can now be purchased such as projectors that have been designed especially for the Xbox, the standard DLP or LCD models and the up and coming LED gaming projector. In addition a sub category of these projectors is what I think one of the coolest gadgets to come down the pike in a long time, the pocket projector. All of these units have their special strengths, strengths that we will try to point out to you here.

DLP Gaming Projector

Let’s start off with the standard DLP or LCD gaming projectors. These units are very similar to the units you would buy for a home theater and are capable of throwing the same intense light and producing the same stunning image quality. Image sizes of 8 feet and a resolution of 1080 p are common with up to a 300 inch image possible. These sizes and resolution will not only change your gaming experience it will also make you feel like you’re part of the game.

Newer models of these projectors are also adding 3D capabilities to the mix as well, which means you’ll have to include 3D glasses in your purchase. One thing to remember though is that this is a projector and is one piece of a two piece system, the other piece is the screen. A good pull down or electric projection screen will go a long way in producing the image quality and brightness you want, but this is not something you’ll need to start out. Test the gaming projector on a very white wall and go from there.

LED Gaming Projector

The LED Gaming Projector is similar to the DLP Gaming Projector with a few exceptions, but these exceptions are extremely important. The first of these exceptions is the replacement of the projector bulb with an LED light source. This LED light source runs much cooler than the standard DLP projector bulb and thereby consumes less power. As with the DLP gaming projector the LED versions are starting to be produced as 3D ready, so you might want to figure in a set of three glasses as well.

Another perk of using LED is that the bulb life is greatly extended, generally to around 30,000 hours as opposed to 3000 – 6000 hours for a standard bulb. The second difference is that most of the machines that use an LED light source are generally not as bright as a standard bulb, but that is rapidly changing with the recent models starting to rival the brightness of the DLP gaming projector.

The Pocket Gaming Projector

Another option in a gaming projector is the pocket projector and they are exactly what they sound like. They are extremely small and very portable pieces of equipment. Pocket projectors are capable producing a 50 inch picture on any flat surface at 640×480 and once attached to your laptop you’re ready to go. Pay particular attention to the mode of connection any unit has, some come with USB and AV connectors, others have just AV and still others include iPod connectors. While this type of gaming projector doesn’t generate the eye popping results of a standard size DLP or LCD projector they have got to be one of the coolest gadgets to come along, due to the freedom and portability they afford the user. Also stay tuned because these projectors are getting brighter and more powerful all the time and soon they be able do most of what the DLP and LED projectors do now.
