LG Projector | The LG Corporation is the second largest conglomerate in South Korea taking a backseat only to Samsung Corp.  The company had its beginnings as the Lak-Hui Chemical Industrial Corp. in 1947.  Through the years LG has expanded produce electronics, telecommunications and providing services worldwide.  In 1995 it was decided that the Lak-Hui and the Goldstar Company would rebrand themselves as the LG Corp.  Needless to say the LG brand name is now known around the globe although it may not be the first name that comes the mind when you thinking of a gaming projector.

The electronics division of LG is the one that manufactures the LG projector along with many other products that you’re probably familiar with.  LG Electronics is also broken down in the five other divisions which are mobile communications, home entertainment, home appliances, air conditioning and business solutions.  The company also owns 75 other subsidiaries around the world that do much of their design and manufacture.  LG currently offers five different types of LG projector with the bulk of those projectors being LED based.

Here’s a quick overview of those five projectors.

LG Projector AF115 Full Home Cinema

• The LG AF115 projector is a full 1080p projector providing 1,500 lumens of light and a 30,000:1 Advanced Contrast Ratio Enhancement.
• Includes an expert mode of color reproduction made up of 2 settings, ISF Day and Night Mode.
• Automatic IRIS Operation – This is a high speed control that automatically opens and closes the IRIS based on the brightness of the image.
• In economic mode the unit’s bulb will last 3,500 hours before needing replacement.

LG projector CF3D 3D Projector

• This projector is 3D capable using LG’s lightweight 3D glasses along with having a 2D to 3d Conversion capability. According to LG this is 3D like you get at the theater.
• The projection is a full 1080p having a resolution of 1920 x 1080.
• LCOS technology has been incorporated which provides brighter and more accurate color rendition even in fast moving scenes.
• The projector provides 2,500 lumens of light and a contrast ratio of 7000:1.
• In economic mode the bulb will last 3,500 hours before needing replacement.

Portable LG Projector HX301G LED

• This portable projector is lightweight weighing in at 1.73 pounds.
• The projector produces 270 lumens of light using an LED light source that will last 30,000 hours before needing replacement. The native resolution is 1024 x 768.
• Plays HD content in DivX format allowing you to choose from HDMI, RGB and video inputs.
• A file viewer function has been included enabling you to view PowerPoint and Excel presentations.
• Contains a Twin XD Engine which maximizes picture quality and ensures maximum color accuracy.

All in all if you’re looking for a good portable gaming projector to take your gaming on the road then the LED LG projector is definitely one that should be on your short list.  Owner reviews for the LED LG projectors are also very positive with people saying that they are absolutely stunned by the quality of the projected image.

As far as the other two projectors in the LG family are concerned we feel there are much better values out there for the price, such as the Acer projector or Epson projector.
